Hope Housing is the main operational project of The Hope Foundation. The aim of the project is to provide accommodation and assistance to anyone with housing need.

Based in Liverpool, we work together with local agencies to reduce housing poverty and promote fully independent living.

We work with people from all types of backgrounds with all types of needs, and aim to provide support, training, education, job opportunities and more to help people make positive choices in their lives and find a safe place to call home.

While with us our residents are set up with a support plan and a weekly schedule that helps to provide not only a target to aim for but opportunities to engage with, meaningful activity and a path towards independent living.

Accommodation

Hope Housing manages various properties around Liverpool which are used as supported accommodation. The properties house families, individuals and those with housing need.

We pride ourselves in providing high-quality accommodation and ensure that all of our properties are finished to a high standard. We believe this allows each tenant to feel at home.

Support & Training

While with us we offer our tenants a range of support and training opportunities. We not only provide in house activities but we partner with external agencies to ensure we can offer our clients the best possible service.

Engagement

We believe that providing a safe place to sleep is only part of the road to long term housing solutions. Alongside accommodation and support we also encourage all of our tenants to engage in meaningful activity. This includes things they are interested in, like hobbies and skills that they may not of pursued because of difficulties in life.

Community

Even with the greatest intentions and will power, without community and relationship it can be quite hard for people to engage and move forward. We believe that by providing proper emotional support and friendship, we can help our tenants breakthrough any barriers they might face.

Resettlement

Because we know all of our tenants are from different situations, we do not have a time limit for their stay with us. We do aim however to work towards a 2 year turnaround within our supported accommodation to enable our tenants to continue to move forward with their progress.

Some of our properties will become long term homes for families and individuals who are ready for fully independent living and some of our properties will provide a much needed stepping stone along the way.

Support

One on One mentoring and support

Providing tenants with regular one on one support and mentoring, alongside a personal development plan agreed with the tenant. This will take into account tenant’s history and tenants aspirations and allow the tenant to keep track of success and reach out when needing more support.

Group Work

The group work will see all tenants involved with bigger group training activities such as budget management, conflict resolution, debt prevention, recovery related activities, hobbies and more.

Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteering opportunities will be provided to provide the tenants with responsibility and help them to further develop skills such as customer service, admin and hospitality. This will also hep with employability.

Employ-ability Training

In partnership with local training providers we will be providing the tenants with employment workshops, helping them with interview techniques, CV writing and job searching.

Key Skills

Tenants will be able to gain valuable skills in various areas such as Mathematics, English, customer service, administration, fire safety, first aid, food hygiene and more.

Life skills

Tenants will be offered advice and support in areas such as sustaining a tenancy, paying bills, effective cleaning techniques and more to help encourage independent living.
